ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਹੈਂ। ਇਹ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਾਂ ਖੁੱਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੁੱਝ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
੨) ਇਹ ਸਾਈਟ ਨਾ ਅੱਪਡੇਟ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗੂਗਲ ਆਲੇਆ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ-ਹੀਣ ਲੱਛਣ ਅਤੇ ਸੌਖ-ਮਾਰੂ ਨੀਤੀਆ। ਖ਼ਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼, ਕੌਮੈਂਟ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਦਰੁੱਸਤ ਕੋਡ ਨਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨੀ।

So... what's been happening these days?
First of all, I'd like to thank the few of you on the ongoing persistence in getting me moving with getting things working on version 2 of this site. The readers, new both new and old, for the numerous e-mail exchanges over the past months on older posts and the situation of this site, and its future deserve thanks for getting me to this point and working.
Firstly, I think it is fitting to clarify on the previous status of this site. Due to reasons totally beyond my control, this site has been down for a few times. It also has been promised a few times in the past that, 'this site will see be regularly posted upon from now on.' This declaration obviously has not been fulfilled by any measure. So I will not be making such a claim in the future or now.
The key reason for this is that this whole Blogging business that was the genesis of this site led me to do a lot of thinking. Since the beginning in the fall of 2004 I had reasons to write on here. To make an online presence felt. This is not that strong of an incentive anymore. And I have done a lot of thinking over this time. I hope to cover all of these in this post.
It’s about TIME!
Contrary to the age old excuse of not having enough time, the real thing for at least the last few months is morality. So, I did have time, a lot of time sometimes.
So in the end, I have decided to phase out the Google relationship. Yes, I am a big believer in loyalty and to go with people who do you good and support them till the finish. But I think in the end, for me, at least now, loyalty based morality, or the ethics of association are something that should have been examined a long time ago.
I did make an account on Wordpress a long time ago, that was just a backup measure to secure things if the blogger service goes out of commission. I don’t think I posted anything on there at all, just to stay loyal to google. So I have posted with google since then.
The Logistics of the Problem…
Seconly, as mentioned, I wanted to challenge myself on the whole not having enough time thing and prove that better time management and little changes in one’s scheduling are enough to free up big enough chunks of time to do anything that you deem of greater importance. This I think is very true if you sit in front of the TV. I don’t even think if you now have kids and make that an excuse for not doing things that you decide not to do. So, making time is easy, planning proper organization is the hard part.
So, the real reason this time was not having little time, but logistics. That is finding an efficient enough alternative to my previous vehicle of delivery (the google blogging service).
Let’s design a solution.
I decided against another service. But just to challenge myself, I attempted hard to find an in house solution to design something that would mimic the old google blogging solution. I spent a few hours and finally have put it off for now. I don’t plan to rely on external help or pay for it. I am intent on getting this done and I think it will happen.
So far this has been a complete and unmitigated failure. I think a computer course could have fared better.
Anyway, I don't think another deployment service would do the trick. I think Frontpage by Microsoft should be enough of a tool to get it done. This has been my friend for a long time now and I don’t want to let him go.
Giving people the power! And efficiency.
My decision against going ahead and just launching the new round of posts is purely a matter of principle.
That is I want to give the people question everything that is posted on here. Simple that it lays the playing field levelled. Anything I write on here ought to be defended and if something is offensive to someone, then I am accountable for it. This is just fair and how things should be in a perfect world.
This comes to the commenting solution on each post that appears on here. I have not found anything versatile enough commenting solution.
Thirdly, I have been doing extensive testing on a possible new format for this site. So, as mentioned before on this main page before, the new website should have everything on it in the next few weeks. And as soon as an efficient enough solution arrives on the table for commenting, work on things will start and everything for this summer not online on the blogger page will be combined with all the archives in a newer google-free independent environment.
Doing things this way will save repetition and valuable time.
so, as the US leader, President Bush (HW) said before the first invasion of Iraq, "this is not a threat, this is not a wish, this is just how things will be from now on."
Relying these days on Me Myself and I.
I don't think you can rely on external elements. It simply is unreliable at the best of times. So, the decision is final, I will phase out google, and not post on the blogger page from now on.
The reason is not retribution of any sort at any level, it is just that companies like google have amassed a fortune on the backs of people who use their services. All companies like this should keep the interests of the people who keep them in business at heart and avoid actions that affect them negatively.
What did me in was one of the services that allowed me to run the site-blog efficiently in a combined environment. And they phased it out last year. It was good on them to have given a lot of prior notice. It was sad to see them let go of FTP support. I don't think it would have done them much inconvenience to still have both the new and old blogger running with the added file transfer protocol feature available for those who relied on it the most.
